Guillermo Paneque will present a project specially designed for the central exhibition space at CAC Málaga. The show is arranged as a succession of time sequences based around different pieces, installations and videos that refer to a series of questions about the way exhibitions repeat a strange narrative loop.

Paneque's original idea for the project was based on the idea of the interview, a reflection on the portrait as an exercise in time. To this end, various people were asked their feelings about and reactions to different narratives and images. However, during the course of the process, doubts are raised about these interviews: what do these stories reveal? Why were the interviews carried out in the first place?

Little by little, over the course of the exhibition, an imaginary narrative begins to emerge, one based on a borrowed identity that is trapped in a chain of materials and dramatised relations, amid which the initial question gradually disappears.
