The Friends of the CAC Malaga Association is a body whose aim is to focus the participation and support of institutions, private companies, social groups and individuals.

Through the Friends of the CAC Malaga Association, all those who would like to become involved in the functioning of the Centre will have a place in which to express their interest in the protection, encouragement and support of contemporary art as well as exhibitions and planned events.

The Association will promote and stimulate the acquisition of works for the Permanent Collection, as well as sponsoring activities and exhibitions.

All those who wish to be involved with the life of the CAC Malaga will be able to do so through the Friends¹ Association: private individuals, public and private entities, large and small companies.

Various different types of membership have been devised with this end in mind:

CORPORATE CONTRIBUTORS

Corporate Benefactor
A minimum annual contribution of 200.000 euros
Donation of works proposed by the Centre.

Corporate Protector
Minimum annual contribution of 30.000 euros (for five years)
Minimum annual contribution of 18.000 euros (for five years)
and/or donation of work proposed by the Centre.

Corporate Collabborator
Minimum annual contribution of 6.000 euros (for five years)
and/or temporary loan of works of art to the Permanent Collection of the CAC Malaga.

INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTIONS

Permanent Benefactor
Donation of works suggested by the Centre.

Protector Member
Minimum annual contribution of 150 Euros (for two years) and/or temporary loan of works.

Collaborative Member
Minimum annual contribution of 75 Euros (for two years)

Students
Contribution: 30 euros

PRIVILEGES

Members of Honour
These include Corporate Benefactors and individuals who contribute as Permanent Benefactors. They will enjoy all the same privileges as the other two categories, plus the following:

  • Will be given the VIP CAC Malaga card (three cards in the case of a Benefactor Company), giving free entry to all events organised.
  • Will receive a copy of all publications published annually by the CAC Malaga free of charge.
  • Will be given a graphic work or photograph annually by a leading artist, created in a numbered edition for the CAC Malaga.
  • Works donated will be accompanied by a label which includes a reference to the benefactor.
  • Free entry to all museums and art centres which form part of the network.
  • Preferential entry to all courses, workshops and parallel activities programmed by the Centre.
  • All activities absolutely free of charge.
  • Use of the lecture theatre for a maximum of 15 days per year, free of hire charge (associated costs to be covered by the benefactor).
  • Use of the CAC Malaga exhibition space out of normal hours up to 5 times per year.

Protector Members
This is open to Corporate Protectors as well as individual Protector Members, who will have all the privileges available to ordinary members, as well as the following:

  • Will receive free three copies of exhibition catalogues selected from among those held during the year by the Centre.
  • Will appear on the web-site of the CAC Malaga, www.cacmalaga.org (companies will also have their logos reproduced with a direct link to their own web-site).

Collaborative Members
This category includes companies and private individuals who will be offered the following:

  • A personal Friends of the CAC Malaga Association membership card.
  • Will be sent up-to-date information on all the events organised by the Centre.
  • Will receive invitations to inaugurations and temporary exhibitions and the activities programme.
  • Free entry to all museums and art centres that form part of the network.
  • Discount of 10% on all publications and products in the shop-bookshop.
  • Free access to the specialist library
  • Preferential entry to all courses, workshops and parallel activities taking place in the centre. In case of activities that are not free of charge, the member will be offered a 15% discount on the registration fee.

Students

  • A personal Friends of the CAC Malaga Association membership card.
  • Will be sent up-to-date information on all the events organised by the Centre.
  • Will receive invitations to inaugurations and temporary exhibitions and the activities programme.
  • Free entry to all museums and art centres that form part of the network.
  • 50% discount on all CAC Malaga publications and products in the shop.
  • Preferential entry to all courses, workshops and parallel activities taking place in the Centre. In case of activities that are not free of charge, the student member will be offered a 50% discount on the registration fee.
  • Free access to the specialist library.

The aim of the Friends of the CAC Malaga Association is to invite the city¹s residents to make a commitment and become involved in the life of the Centre, in line with its aim of being an institution open to civic and social participation.
